ICAO to EASA Conversion Modular CPL / IR / MEP Course Purposes

The aim of the course is to train an ICAO licence holder of an CPL / IR / MEP to convert it to EASA.

Entry Requirements

  • Holder of a valid ICAO CPL / IR / MEP;
  • Holder of a valid ICAO Class I medical certificate
  • Holder of a valid EASA Class I medical certificate
  • Holder of EASA ATPL Theory Certificate
  • Minimum of 200 hrs flight time, of which at least 100 hrs as PIC which includes 50 hrs of cross-country flight as PIC one of at least 300nm with two full stop landings at two aerodromes different from the aerodrome of departure; and
  • Minimum of 55 hrs instrument flight time, of which up to 40 hrs in FNPT II.

Course Structure

Flight Training & Skill Tests / 3 Months Duration
80 hours Minimum Flight Training to include a minimum of:

Total Hours 10 hrs MEP 14 hrs MEP 10 hrs FNPT II
CPL / IR Conversion Training:   6 hrs MEP  
IR / MEP Conversion Training:   5 hrs MEP 10 hrs FNPT II
CPL / IR / MEP Skill Test:   3 hrs MEP  

Method of Payment (for minimum hours as per above flight training program)

Total cost covering the training as mentioned above is €9.900 and payments should be made as follows:

  • €500 with enrolment into the course; and

  • €9.400 prior to the commencement of the flight training.
